Join the CWA Canberra Branch at Floriade for a delicious and insightful session celebrating one of Australia’s most iconic treats — the humble scone. Our cooking demonstration will lift the lid on how to create the perfect classic scone—the very same style that’s made the CWA Tea Room a crowd favourite at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, where tens of thousands are enjoyed each year.
We’ll also explore the great debate: traditional scones vs lemonade scones. See how each method stacks up in flavour, texture and technique, and pick up tips you can use in your own kitchen.
To showcase that the CWA is truly “More Than Scones”, the session will include a presentation on the organisation’s long history of advocacy and charity work. The CWA of NSW is now 104 years young, and the Canberra Branch is preparing to celebrate its 80th anniversary, having been established in November 1946. Learn about the causes we champion, the communities we support, and the impact CWA members continue to make across Australia.
A warm, engaging Floriade experience — equal parts tasty and inspiring.
