Floriade Community was introduced in 2020 as part of Floriade: Reimagined and saw more than 80 community groups plant bulbs and annuals to help create a tulip trail through Canberra’s suburbs.
Following the overwhelmingly positive community response, Floriade Community has returned this year with 300,000 bulbs and annuals planted and cared for by 100 schools, community groups and organisations in their local area, for the community to enjoy.
The planter boxes and pots that were to feature in Commonwealth Park have also been relocated throughout Canberra as part of Floriade: Reimagined. These boxes complement the bulbs and annuals which have been planted as part of Floriade Community.
Many locals have grown up with Floriade and are proud to host the longstanding event in Canberra. Floriade Community taps into the Canberra spirit, enabling locals to participate in the festival and celebrate spring across our city.
Take a look at our interactive map of Canberra to find out where all the Floriade Community plantings are located.
The Floriade team is encouraging all Canberrans to follow the advice of the Chief Health Officer throughout spring regarding leaving their area to drive around Canberra and view the flowers.
If you are out and about for exercise or essential activities please remember to abide by public health directions and if you come across a Floriade Community planting, please share any of your great pics with us at #Floriade.
