On weekends, we will be selling coffee from the van with all proceeds raised being donated to our two charities. The coffee will be brewed from 10.00am to 1.00pm every weekend. When you visit Floriade, make sure to stop by the van and snap a photo with our six gnomes who will be the Synergy presence onsite for the whole of Floriade.
This year, Synergy is selling Bulb Dig bags. These bags will be your ticket to ‘The Great Big Bulb Dig’ on Monday 16 October where you will have the opportunity to dig up the beautiful bulbs of Floriade 2023, take them home with you, and make them a permanent fixture in your garden. The bags will be sold for $15 each from the beginning of Floriade until the 7500 bags have been sold out. The bags can be purchased onsite at the Floriade Shop and from The Canberra and Region Visitors Centre. On weekends Synergy will also be selling the bags from the kombi. All proceeds from the sale of the bags will be donated to Roundabout Canberra and The Indigenous Marathon Foundation. Streets ice cream was originally made in the back shed by Edwin (Ted) Street. He would then sell these to neighbours along with sweets, cakes and lemonade. Popularity grew and he soon used a cart, then a one horse-power motorbike to sell Streets ice cream. It continued to grow and today Streets ice cream is sold throughout Australia and New Zealand with well-known brands such as Magnum, Paddle Pop, Cornetto, Gaytime, Calippo and Blue Ribbon. We are proud members of RedCycle – , a recovery program for soft plastics. This means all our Streets soft plastic ice cream wrappers can be recycled at RedCycle drop off points. There are now more than 1,800 RedCycle drop off points in Coles and Woolworths stores around Australia. Research commissioned by Unilever and carried out by the UK Institute of Psychiatry has discovered that ice cream actually ‘lights up’ the brain’s pleasure zones. It appears from clinical trials that just one spoonful of ice cream brings a smile to the happy areas of the brain.
