Duck Cake Day

The iconic Women’s Weekly Duck Cake is taking over Floriade!

First baked in the 1980s, the Duck Cake in now a cult classic, and has been brought to life this year as one of the garden bed designs at Floriade!

Bakers are rolling up their sleeves, getting creative and sharing their take on one of Australia’s most loved cakes in our Duck Cake competition.

This is your chance to be part of the nostalgia and see the ‘Celebration’ garden bed together with the wonderful Duck Cake creations in the competition.

For each age group we will be judging cakes based on:

• resemblance to the original Duck Cake

• best Floriade interpretation of the Duck Cake

There will also be a People’s Choice vote for the finalists on the day!

10:30am – Duck Cake Competition judging
11am-4pm – Duck Cakes on display

Where: Nerang Pool Marquee, Commonwealth Park
