Explore the historic gardens of Lanyon Homestead and and the productive gardens that supplied the families who lived and worked here. Over time, as Canberra grew up, there was opportunity to have more ornamental gardens. Learn about the layers of history revealed in the landscape and how heritage gardens are evolving in an ever-changing climate. This year, the tour will also share fascinating information about the scientific properties of key plants within the garden in celebration of the 2025 Floriade theme Science & Nature.
Tours run for 45 minutes and leave from the Homestead Shop entrance, facing the courtyard.
