Now in their 15th year, the ever-popular Floriade photography workshops provide a unique opportunity to get into the grounds early and hone your flower photography skills.
Experience the tranquillity of Floriade in the early morning before the crowds descend and make the most of the soft morning light to enhance your floral images. With the expert guidance and hands-on help of Geoff Comfort and Ben Kopilow, you will enjoy taking control of your camera and thinking more creatively about your approach to capturing these magical fields of spring bulbs. Both are AIPP accredited and experienced master photographers, as well as practising professionals, who will share all their tricks of the trade with you.
Whether you would like help with your camera settings, or would just like some suggestions on aesthetic considerations, like composition and lighting, they have a wealth of knowledge to equip you to take more creative and powerful images.
The workshop concludes with an informative feedback session where participants will have the opportunity to share their work, as well as learn from and be inspired by each other. Geoff and Ben will provide constructive feedback on the images taken with suggestions for how to further improve or finish them for publication. Bring your camera or smartphone, a freshly formatted memory card, and spare battery. A tripod and ground sheet is recommended, and don’t forget warm cloths and gloves.
