Dogs’ Day Out

A day of fun for you and your furry friends!

On Sunday 12 October 2025, Floriade will welcome pooches big and small at this year’s Dogs’ Day Out. With a range of dog-specific retail vendors and dog-friendly programming on stage and throughout the park, Floriade invites our furry friends to enjoy a day among the blooms.

Stay tuned for the paw-some program and activities, including details of the Annual Dogs Day Out Fashion Paw-rade, which will be announced soon.

Conditions Of Entry 

To minimise the risk of damage to Commonwealth Park, Events ACT will require the following from all Dogs’ Day Out patrons must adhere to the following conditions:

  • All dogs must remain on a leash at all times. 
  • Dogs and owners must remain on designated paths and must not enter any garden bed at any time. 
  • Dogs may not enter any indoor venue or food outlet. 
  • As per ACT law, dogs must be picked up after and all waste disposed of responsibly. 
  • Dogs may only enter the park during opening hours of Sunday 13 October. 
  • Dogs must be fully vaccinated. 
  • Dogs must be socialised and generally non-aggressive to people or other dogs. 

FAQ

Bring your furry friend along to Floriade Sunday 12 October, 9.30am – 5.30pm 

  • Dogs may be allowed on the Floriade Shuttle Bus if they are in a carry case/box or in an appropriate pet container. 
  • Companion dogs are permitted on the Shuttle Bus

Other animals are permitted on site during Dogs’ Day Out. However, for the safety of your pet they must be restrained or in a cage. If you do bring other animals you do so at your own risk. 

Yes! Each water station around Floriade will also have water bowls for furry visitors.

Floriade does not provide poo bags. We kindly ask all pet owners to bring their own and clean up after their pets.
