Museum of Australian Democracy

This Spring, MoAD’s school holiday program will be blooming in perfect harmony with Floriade! Our program is about connecting with our natural environments, acknowledging spring as a time of growth and renewal while fostering a sense of responsibility and active participation in caring for shared spaces and communities.

As with every school holiday program, we’ll be offering free, open craft sessions for all to enjoy. This spring, children are invited to celebrate native flora by creating brooches and floral crowns using sustainable and recyclable materials. Through these activities, young people will be encouraged to reflect on the beauty of our natural environment and consider how different materials, colours, and textures can be used to convey meaning.

MoAD will also be offering two series of workshops! See our website for more details.

MoAD

Celebrating the spirit of Australian democracy and the power of your voice within it. The Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House is located inside a heritage-listed building that was once home to Australia’s Parliament.

True to our building’s original brief, we provide a ‘people’s place’, where big ideas are explored. We share the story of Australia’s democracy through exhibitions, events and education programs, as well as through our rich online collection of stories, objects and resources.
