Formed in Canberra in the summer of 2023, Capital Samba is a dynamic ensemble that brings the pulsating rhythms and smooth melodies of Brazil to Australia’s Capital.
Comprising a talented line-up of musicians with deep roots in Brazilian music and culture, Capital Samba is a celebration of Samba and Bossa Nova, interwoven with the rhythms of Afro-Brazilian heritage; it’s a gathering of friends who met through various Brazilian community events in Canberra, including dance festivals, batucada groups, and jam sessions.
