Taiwanese-Australian singer-songwriter Kim Yang crafts ethereal music reminiscent of Joni Mitchell and Bon Iver, blending soaring vocals, soothing melodies, and evocative lyrics. She shares candid stories of love, life, tragedy, and joy on stage. Kim’s mission is to inspire self-expression and connection, urging others to embrace their passions and share their stories.
Currently based in Beijing, her recent career highlights include her debut at the UK’s Cambridge Folk Festival, performances at Woodford Folk Festival and Canada’s Jade Music Festival, and nominations for Best Live Voice (ACT) in the National Live Music Awards and Artist of the Year by MusicACT.
