Glorious Wally

Standing an impressive six metres tall, Glorious Wally is the unmissable centrepiece of this year’s Floriade Walking Trail.

Inspired by the ACT’s floral emblem – the Royal Bluebell (Wahlenbergia gloriosa) – this custom-made sculpture welcomes visitors with a burst of colour, creativity and Canberra pride.

Located beside the historic merry-go-round in the heart of the City Centre, Glorious Wally offers the perfect photo stop and a moment to soak up the spring atmosphere before continuing your journey through the Floriade Walking Trail.

Much more than just a sculpture, Glorious Wally celebrates community connection and the joy of active exploration.

Take a stroll from the Alinga Street light rail stop to Commonwealth Park and discover spring blooms, creative workshops, family activities, local shopping and dining, and 16,000 flowers planted along the trail.

This Floriade season, be sure to visit Glorious Wally as part of your adventure to Canberra’s City Centre.

Don’t miss Glorious Wally on the City Renewal Authority Floriade Walking Trail through the city from the Light Rail stop via City Walk and Allara Street.
