Treat yourself to a slice of creativity at Make Art – Eat Cake in Lyneham, hosted by Access Art Academy at the cozy Front Gallery & Café (Two Before Ten). This two-hour workshop invites adults to indulge in artistic exploration over coffee and cake, all in a relaxed and welcoming space.
In this workshop you can have your cake and eat it too! Guided by award-winning visual art teacher Marianne Mettes, participants dive into easy, effective techniques that explore composition, colour, and personal expression inspired by the wonder of Floriade.
All art materials and refreshments are included, so there’s nothing to bring but yourself—and perhaps a longing for a delicious slice of gourmet cake and barista coffee! You’ll learn easy, effective techniques to build depth and detail — and walk away with your own finished artwork, ready to display with pride!
Spots are limited per session, ensuring personalised tuition and a cozy, community feel. The experience has been described by attendees as “blissful,” “thoughtfully put together,” and perfect for creative souls of varying confidence levels. It’s creative indulgence—no experience required, just your curiosity.
Join us for a sweet, inspired art-making moment this Floriade season!
“Make Art Eat Cake is a blissful experience. Marianne provided supportive instructions while encouraging exploration and creative whims. My whole family (ages 16 to 79 with very different levels of artistic confidence) had a great time. The whole workshop was thoughtfully put together from the recycled materials to well timed cake and coffee break. And the coffee is excellent!” – Gillian
