Every year, the Landscape Display Gardens are a highlight of the Floriade experience, showcasing the creativity, craftsmanship and innovation of Australia’s landscape design industry. Inspired by this year’s theme, Feast of Flowers, five competing display gardens have been created for Floriade 2026, each offering a unique interpretation of abundance, growth, nourishment and community through living landscapes.
Presented by The Landscape Association and Canberra Institute of Technology, this much-loved feature of the Floriade program brings together talented designers, landscapers, students and suppliers from local and interstate businesses. Each garden has been uniquely designed to bring to life one of the festival’s five storytelling pillars: Growing, Blooming, Harvesting, Feasting and Return to Soil. From pollinator-friendly planting and edible gardens to immersive gathering spaces and innovative landscape features, each display demonstrates the power of thoughtful design to connect people with nature.
Visitors are invited to wander through each garden, discover the stories behind the designs and explore the creative use of plants, materials, textures and landscape elements. As you explore, don’t forget to cast your vote in the People’s Choice Award and help decide which garden takes home this year’s public vote, alongside the coveted judges’ prize.
The Landscape Display Gardens are proudly supported by our Major Sponsors Bunnings Trade and Shapescaper as well as Pialligo Irrigation, whose ongoing support has helped bring these inspiring landscapes to life.

Inspired by the Latin word for “shared feast”, Convivium explores the idea of humans and nature gathering together in a shared space. At its centre is a striking garden table inspired by the Correa ‘Canberra Bells’ flower, surrounded by seating that doubles as planting spaces. Native species support pollinators, while spring annuals provide a feast of colour, creating a garden that celebrates the coexistence of people, plants and wildlife.

Representing the storytelling pillar of Growing, this garden captures the excitement and promise of early spring. Featuring colourful flower beds, edible produce, mosaic stone artworks, a greenhouse-inspired structure and playful arbour arches, the design celebrates growth in all its forms. Sustainable planting, reclaimed materials and pollinator-friendly species create a vibrant and inspiring space that encourages visitors to see the beauty and potential of a garden awakening to life.

Inspired by the storytelling pillar of Blooming, Vertical Blooms celebrates the season when Canberra comes alive with colour. At the heart of the garden stand two dramatic living plant walls overflowing with flowering pansies, symbolising the growth and beauty that emerge through patience and care. A mix of annuals and perennials, natural stone and eco-timber elements combine to create a vibrant display of seasonal abundance.

Inspired by the tradition of a potluck gathering, Plot Luck is a celebration of flowers, food and friendship. Designed as a welcoming outdoor entertaining space, the garden features a blossom tree, colourful planting, crazy paving pathways, a picnic lawn and a communal fire pit. Bringing together different colours, textures and experiences, the garden reflects the joy of sharing, connection and community.

Feasts of Flowers interprets this year’s Floriade theme through the idea of a living dining table. A central circular feature represents a shared plate, while petal-shaped planting beds radiate outwards to form a stylised flower filled with seasonal blooms and culinary herbs. Flowing water symbolises the journey from nourishment and growth through to harvest and feast, creating a sensory garden that celebrates abundance, sustainability and the connection between nature, food and community.
