Dogs’ Day Out

15 October

Add to favourites

Floriade will welcome pooches big and small on Sunday 15 October for this year’s Dogs’ Day Out.

With a range of dog specific retail vendors and dog friendly programming on stage and around the park, Floriade will open its gates to our furry friends to experience a day with the blooms.

The Stage 88 Lawns will host a demonstration by the ACT Companion Dog Club Display Team at 1:30pm, followed by the Annual Dogs Day Out Fashion Paw-rade at 2:30pm. If you would like the chance to win some great prizes in the Paw-rade, just come along with your furry fashionista and register for the competition at Stage 88 from 1:30pm.

Want to capture a portrait with your pooch or snap a group photo with your whole dog club? Spectrum Photography will be on site all day with their Open Photo Booth so you can capture a photo of your fur family amongst the blooms.

To minimise the risk of damage to Commonwealth Park, all Dogs’ Day Out patrons must adhere to the following:

  • All dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
  • Dogs and owners must remain on designated paths and must not enter any garden bed at any time.
  • Dogs may not enter any indoor venue or food outlet.
  • As per ACT law, dogs must be picked up after and all waste disposed of responsibly.
  • Dogs may only enter the park during opening hours of Sunday 16 October.
  • Dogs must be fully vaccinated.
  • Dogs must be socialised and generally non-aggressive to people or other dogs.
  • Dogs may be allowed on the Floriade Shuttle Bus if they are in a carry case/box or in an appropriate pet container
  • Companion dogs are permitted on the Shuttle Bus

Other animals are permitted on site. However, for the safety of your pet they must be constrained or in a cage.

Bringing other animals is at your own risk.
