The Polish Folkloric Dance Group WIELKOPOLSKA of Canberra proudly promotes the rich and vibrant traditions of Polish culture to Australian audiences through traditional Polish folk dance. The group performs a diverse repertoire of national and regional dances that range from graceful and elegant to lively and energetic, showcasing the beauty and spirit of Poland’s cultural heritage.
Each performance is enhanced by stunning traditional folkloric costumes, renowned for their intricate detail, vibrant colours and authenticity. Since its establishment in 1981, WIELKOPOLSKA has been a regular performer at major ACT events including Floriade and the National Multicultural Festival, as well as festivals and cultural events throughout Canberra, the surrounding region and interstate.
