The wine list

At Clonakilla, we understand that our task as winemakers is simple: Capture what is good and true in the landscape and bottle it for people to enjoy. It is a task we take seriously.

We work to craft beautiful, evocative wines from the granitic soils of the hills around Murrumbateman and the red volcanic soils in the Hilltops region around Young.

We pride ourselves on our crisp, fresh, aromatic whites and perfumed, spice-laden, medium-bodied reds.

Compelling, complex aromas and fine palate texture are the Clonakilla hallmarks, and while we work with a range of varieties, Clonakilla is best known for “shiraz viogniers, and pure shirazs, that are at the very top of the Australian tree

Collector Wines celebrates 21 years of making fine wine in the Canberra District this year. The winery is known for its shiraz, chardonnay, and Italian varieties, especially the Shoreline Sangiovese Rosé. The winery opens its Tasting Room in the village of Collector this spring.

Established in 1997, Lerida Estate is an award-winning, family-owned winery located on the shores of Lake George at the foot of the Cullerin Range, just 30 minutes north of Canberra. Recognised as one of the Canberra District’s premier wine tourism destinations, the estate is renowned for producing elegant cool-climate wines that reflect the unique climate, elevation and ancient soils of the region.

Linear Wines is an independent Canberra District wine producer founded in 2018 by winemaker Nathan Brown. Made in the Canberra region, Linear works with carefully selected vineyard sites across Canberra, Tumbarumba, Hilltops and Gundagai. Close relationships with growers provide the opportunity to seek out distinctive sites and parcels of fruit, each bringing its own character to the wines.

Mada Wines is a Canberra-based wine producer crafting expressive, small-batch wines from exceptional vineyards across Canberra, the Hilltops and Tumbarumba. Working closely with a select group of passionate growers, Mada is focused on capturing the character of each site and producing wines that are modern, distinctive and true to their origins.

From approachable, vibrant wines made for good times to more detailed Single Vineyard releases, Mada embraces curiosity, creativity and a deep respect for the land. The result is a diverse collection of wines with personality, precision and a strong sense of place.
