Vika & Linda are Australia’s most revered singing sisters, known for their stunning and soulful voices and effervescent performances.

They came to prominence singing backing vocals with Joe Camilleri’s band ‘The Black Sorrows’ in 1988. The band had several successful singles and albums, including the hits ‘Chained to the Wheel’ and ‘Harley and Rose’ and won best Group at the ARIA Awards

Their career has gone from strength to strength, and after six years and three multi-platinum albums with The Black Sorrows, they branched out on their own and released their double platinum self-titled debut in 1994, which hit the Top 10 in Australia, and was nominated for an ARIA Award.

They have followed that up with eight studio albums, two live albums and a chart-topping anthology, which was the first number one album by an Australian female duo. They have also sung on number one albums by Paul Kelly, Kasey Chambers and John Farnham, done gigs for the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, and the King of Tonga, and have been nominated for six ARIA Awards.

Vika & Linda were inducted into the Music Victoria Hall of Fame in 2019. And in 2022, as well as releasing the acclaimed memoir No Bull, which documents their remarkable musical life, they were awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for their service to the performing arts.

With a sound that defies genre classification, the sisters do it all: rock, country, gospel, reggae, R&B, soul and blues, as well as paying tribute to their rich Tongan heritage.

Don’t miss the amazing Vika & Linda on Stage 88 at NightFest on Sunday 1 October from 8pm – 9pm.
