Add to favourites

Would you like to keep a display of your own Ikebana at home? Ikebana is the Japanese art of floral arrangement. Sachie Terasaki, a Canberra based Ikebana artist and instructor, will help you create a beautiful flower arrangement using both natural and craft materials.

In this workshop you will;

• Learn how to create a long-lasting Ikebana arrangement using dried natural materials.
• Use craft papers to create your art forms to add into your Ikebana.
• Be guided with detailed instructions and demonstrations on how to arrange your Ikebana with the traditional technique.
• Take home your Ikebana arrangement in a vase to display your creativity.

Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned florist or you’re just interested in learning a new creative outlet, this is a great opportunity to try basic Ikebana on this public holiday at Floriade.

Workshops will book out fast, be sure to secure your spot!
