NightFest presents Canberra’s Big NightFeast

While NightFest in it’s traditional format in Commonwealth Park is not proceeding, this reimagined event will see locals enjoy Canberra’s biggest NightFeast.

Calling all foodie fanatics. For one night only, Canberrans can enjoy a mouth-watering feast about town or from home with an at-home NightFest foodie pack and entertainment galore.

About Town

As dusk settles on Friday 2 October, NightFest, will transcend upon Canberra, creating a mouth-watering foodie feast at local participating restaurants. Discover bountiful banquets, top-secret menus, jaw-dropping degustations, floral-inspired delights, sweet treats, and more to delight the senses. Think Aladdin’s Cave of gastronomical gems.

Savour a delightful food and wine pairing at The Pop Inn by Wine Bar Co under the trees and the stars.

Foodies will be treated to a plant-based burger high tea at Beef & Barley, flower-based desserts from the creative minds at Frugii, a four-course dinner that embraces NightFest by getting progressively darker with every dish at Monster Kitchen & Bar.

Watch the sunset over the Brindabellas an indulge at Contentious Character Vineyard, tempt your tastebuds with a spring inspired feast at Fricken Fried Chicken or go on a vegan journey at Token Arcade & Kitchen, a Reload Bar & Games and Soul Cartel collaboration.

Treat your foodie tribe to scrumptious share platters and a signature Floriade cocktail at Zoo Bar, celebrate springtime party vibes with live music, beer and burgers at Capital Brewing Co., or indulge in a feast fit for a Mad Hatter with 3 curated courses matched with fine wines at QT’s Capitol Bar & Grill.

This culinary extravaganza is a Floriade first and will support the hospitality industry, which has been impacted by the adverse economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. By supporting one local eatery, Canberrans are supporting many including local producers, their suppliers and regional growers. Book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Flower based desserts will be available for take-away from Frugii Dessert Laboratory.

At Home

This year, NightFest will also be coming into the home of the Canberran foodie and entertainment aficionado.

Canberrans ordering packs to enjoy at home can choose between Lazy Grazer packs full of everything you need to make a delightful grazing table, curated cocktail kits from Underground Spirits and Gourmet By Design goodie packs featuring everything you need for a great evening including Capital Brewing tinnies, a bottle or two from Contentious Character and chocolate treats.

Canberra’s big NightFeast wouldn’t be complete without those treats that NightFest is famous for – entertainment and lights. Try your hand at making one of the festival’s signature lanterns and enjoy a curated Spotify playlist featuring artists from past festival to bring a fun-sized taste of NightFest into your home.
